During a recent meeting, the Webster Elementary Schools celebrated the achievements of outstanding fifth-grade students through the annual Citizenship Award ceremony, a tradition sponsored by the Webster Recreation and Education Association (WREA) for over two decades. The awards honor students who exemplify qualities such as service, scholarship, leadership, and sportsmanship.
The ceremony highlighted several remarkable students, each recognized for their contributions both in and out of the classroom. Kylie Swallow from DeWitt Road Elementary was commended for her positive attitude and leadership skills, actively participating in school activities and community service, including running food drives. Elena Me from Clem Road North Elementary was noted for her kindness and humor, excelling academically and participating in various extracurricular activities, including band and soccer.
Anastasia Pico from Clem Road South Elementary was recognized for her scholarship and leadership, serving as a role model for younger students and showcasing her musical talents. Elise Hall from Plank North Elementary was acknowledged for her commitment to her school community, taking on multiple roles such as library helper and safety patrol member. Benjamin Baker from Plank South Elementary was celebrated for his leadership and character, actively engaging in student council and community service.
Clara Kovac from Schlegel Road Elementary was praised for her positive demeanor and dedication to academics, while Olivia Timkiv from State Road Elementary was recognized for her humility and interpersonal skills, serving as a supportive friend and role model to her peers.
