New event venue aims to revitalize downtown community

In a recent government meeting, the Wentzville City Council discussed the approval of a new multi-purpose event venue, Willows Lockett, which aims to host both private and public events, including weddings, chef tastings, and yoga sessions. The venue's owner, who previously operated successful businesses in North County, expressed enthusiasm for revitalizing the community and ensuring a positive relationship with local residents.

The council reviewed the application, which included three conditions for operation, focusing on noise management due to the venue's proximity to residential areas. A new condition was proposed to limit noise levels to comply with city ordinances, ensuring that events do not disturb nearby residents. The owner assured council members that music would cease by 10 PM on weekends and that parking would be directed to public lots to minimize neighborhood congestion.
