During a recent village meeting, Village Manager Joe Beaver expressed gratitude towards employees for their hard work surrounding the upcoming Homer Fest, which kicks off on Thursday, June 27th. Trustee Fialco echoed this sentiment, highlighting the collaborative effort between the committee, staff, volunteers, and sponsors that makes the festival possible without costing taxpayers.
Fialco noted a strong turnout for sponsorship this year, listing several key sponsors including All Around Amusement, Bankston Farm, and Lakeshore Beverage, among others. He emphasized the importance of local talent in the festival's lineup, which features performances from various artists, including the 815, hillbilly rock stars, and Olivia Monique from The Voice.
The festival will also showcase a diverse range of music, from polka and pierogies on Sunday to a closing performance by Shake Baby Shake, a notable artist with a history of appearances on major television shows. Fialco encouraged community participation and safety during the festivities, underscoring the event's role in fostering community spirit.
