Community mourns loss of beloved leader Aldo Paneshi

During a recent government meeting, members gathered to honor the memories of several influential figures who made significant contributions to their communities.

The session began with a heartfelt tribute to Aldo C. Panecci, Junior, a respected community leader in Placer County, who passed away at the age of 66 after a battle with cancer. Panecci, a lifelong resident of Roseville, was celebrated for his extensive involvement in local politics and philanthropy. He founded Aldo Paneshi Consulting and was known for his behind-the-scenes work that greatly impacted various organizations, including the Placer Business Alliance and the Roseville Joint Union High School District. His legacy includes the creation of a scholarship tournament and numerous initiatives aimed at supporting families in need. Colleagues remembered him as a wise leader and a selfless humanitarian.

The meeting also recognized Haig Papipien Junior, the former president and CEO of the Commerce Casino and Hotel, who passed away earlier this year. Papipien was credited with transforming the casino into a premier entertainment destination and fostering a culture of excellence among employees. His leadership was marked by a commitment to philanthropy and community engagement, leaving a lasting impact on the city of Commerce.

Additionally, members paid tribute to Becca Taylor, a prominent community organizer and veteran who served as the San Diego County Democratic Party chair. Taylor was remembered for her vibrant personality, leadership skills, and dedication to her community. Her colleagues shared personal anecdotes highlighting her kindness and ability to unite people, emphasizing that her legacy would continue to inspire others.
