Tyler Dolan, representing Florence Tourism, praised the city's Parks and Recreation team for their efforts in facilitating these events, while also calling for more hotel accommodations to meet the demand generated by such tournaments. The meeting also revealed that this year's tournament saw a record attendance of 8,311 tickets sold, generating substantial revenue for the local economy.
In addition to tourism discussions, the meeting addressed logistical preparations for the upcoming Spirit of Freedom celebration, including a new agreement with James Marine for tugboat services. This year’s event will feature an additional tugboat for enhanced safety during the festivities.
