The upcoming 20th anniversary celebration of the Denver and Rio Grande Trail is set to take place on May 13th at Farmington Regional Park, from 12 PM to 3 PM. This event is part of the Golden Spoke ride, which highlights a continuous 100-mile paved trail stretching from Ogden to Provo. Participants are encouraged to register for the family-friendly bike ride at goldenspokeutah.org.

The celebration will feature a variety of activities, including a short ride on the Farmington Creek Trail, contingent on weather conditions. Organizers are urging community members to spread the word through local newsletters to maximize participation.

During the meeting, officials expressed gratitude to Davis County for hosting the end-of-ride festivities and emphasized the importance of promoting cycling culture during National Bike Month. Various rides are planned, including a 25-mile journey from Ogden and a 75-mile ride from Provo, both culminating at the Farmington Regional Park. A shorter, child-friendly ride will also be available.
