One parent, who chose to remain anonymous, shared a distressing account of her son facing bullying, expressing her fear that formal reporting could lead to further victimization. She emphasized the need for a supportive environment where parents feel safe to voice their concerns without fear of repercussions.

Melinda Preston, representing Citizens Defending Freedom, echoed these sentiments, highlighting a growing number of parents who feel unheard. She recounted a positive experience of a student who switched districts to escape bullying, underscoring the importance of addressing these issues across all schools. Preston urged the board to engage directly with parents who have reached out for help, stressing that many families are struggling and need support from the district.

Alana Taylor, a mother of three, raised alarms about the extreme heat conditions during after-school pickup times. She presented alarming temperature readings from her infrared thermometer, revealing surface temperatures exceeding 159 degrees Fahrenheit on asphalt and 141 degrees in shaded areas. Taylor called for immediate action to provide shade and improve safety for both students and staff during the hottest parts of the day.

Rebecca Bertoli expressed gratitude for the board's efforts but also acknowledged the ongoing challenges faced by the district. She noted the importance of recognizing achievements while remaining vigilant about the issues that affect the school community.
