During a recent school board meeting, a student representative highlighted the remarkable achievements of six high school scholars who have earned their diplomas through a rigorous program. The student, Kazma, expressed gratitude towards the school board, Superintendent Dr. Brenda Lewis, and the entire school district for their support in this accomplishment.
Kazma noted that these six graduates are among only 76,000 students worldwide to achieve this milestone, emphasizing the dedication required to complete the program. The students undertook an intense academic challenge, completing 15 exams within a three-week period, all while maintaining high average scores. Additionally, they wrote seven essays, including a significant 4,000-word research and analytical paper, which they developed independently with minimal classroom support.
Katie Steiner, the Diploma Program coordinator, was also present to provide further insights into the students' journey, underscoring the commitment and hard work that led to their success. The meeting served as a celebration of academic excellence and the support systems in place within the school district that enable such achievements.
