During the meeting, Trustee Zora reported on the building department's activities for June 2024. The department issued 83 building permits, a slight increase from 80 permits issued in June 2023. However, the estimated construction costs for June 2024 were just over $1 million, down from $1.4 million in the same month last year. Permit fees collected totaled $14,708, significantly lower than the $31,690 collected in June 2023. The department conducted 162 building inspections, with three not receiving approval. Additionally, seven new court enforcement cases were recorded, with six cases closed and one requiring further action.
