During a recent government meeting, officials discussed significant infrastructure projects and funding concerns, particularly regarding a road improvement initiative involving the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT).

The meeting highlighted a troubling increase in project costs, with estimates reportedly more than double the original figure. In addition to the road project, the council also addressed the ODOT Urban Paving initiative, which will see the paving of State Route 741 from North Lawn Avenue to I-75 in 2026. ODOT will cover 80% of the construction costs, with the city responsible for the remaining 20%, amounting to approximately $211,200. The council moved to prepare legislation to secure funding for this project.
