During a recent board meeting, the Hazelwood community welcomed Kristen Styles as the new assistant principal of Hazelwood Schools. Styles, a product of Haywood County Schools and a dedicated teacher at Meadowbrook Elementary for the past 11 years, expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to serve in this leadership role.
In her introduction, Styles acknowledged the support she received from her mentors, particularly Stephanie Benson, who played a significant role in her professional development. She emphasized the importance of the educators and colleagues who have influenced her journey, stating, \"I've learned so much from each of you about being a better educator, a better leader, and a better person.\"
Styles also reflected on her deep connection to the community, expressing excitement about her new role and commitment to the students and families of Hazelwood.
