In a recent government meeting, officials discussed the development plans for a new residential area that aims to enhance community engagement and sustainability. The proposed project, located near the clubhouse and overlooking a lake, features a vibrant pedestrian-friendly design intended to foster year-round activity.
The development will consist of three distinct building types, totaling 178 condominium units, with a maximum height of four stories. The layout includes 16, 20, and 24-unit buildings, each designed with unique architectural elements, including two-story townhouses at the ends and single-story units throughout.
Sustainability is a key focus of the project, with plans to exceed the required number of electric vehicle (EV) charging spaces. The development will include 15 EV-ready spaces, surpassing the 10% requirement set by the Planned Mixed-Use Development District (PMDD). Additionally, ample bicycle parking and open green spaces will be integrated into the design, aligning with city regulations.
The project also emphasizes connectivity to surrounding amenities, including a private recreation area and a civic node known as the village green or Main Street Square. This area is envisioned as a central hub for community interaction, enhancing the overall livability of the neighborhood.
As the project progresses, officials are optimistic about its potential to create a dynamic and sustainable living environment that meets the needs of residents while promoting a strong sense of community.
