The El Paso County Fair is gearing up for its 119th year, scheduled to take place from July 13th to 20th in Callahan, Colorado. At a recent government meeting, officials highlighted the fair's promotional efforts and introduced the newly crowned Fair Queen, Maddie Norton.

Maddie Norton, a 17-year-old recent graduate of Lewis Palmer High School, was announced as the 2024 Fair Queen. She has been actively promoting the fair through social media and community engagement, emphasizing her passion for rodeo, community service, and support for military and first responders. Norton expressed her excitement about the upcoming fair, which promises a variety of events including auto races, a demolition derby, concerts, and numerous family-friendly activities.

The fair's marketing strategy has expanded significantly this year, with plans to utilize electronic newsletters, social media, and traditional media outlets such as radio and television. Notably, the fair will also feature digital billboards and advertisements in local movie theaters to enhance visibility. The marketing team has introduced new activity pages, aiming to distribute more than the 3,000 copies shared last year.
