School Board Approves Major Funding for New Concert Hall

Superintendent Tully reported that the construction of the concert hall has been satisfactorily completed, with the project coming in under budget by approximately $936,293. The total cost of the project, which included the relocation of a tennis court, was $1,000,739,637. The board unanimously approved Resolution 893, officially accepting the project and acknowledging the efforts of Cornerstone General Contractors Incorporated. The meeting also addressed the Leota Middle School phase 1 replacement project, for which the board was asked to authorize a guaranteed maximum price amendment. Additionally, the board discussed a generous donation of $100,000 from Bothell High School alumnus Zach LaVine, which will be used to refinish the gym floor and make further enhancements. The donation will also allow for the gym to be named in LaVine's honor.
