Director Hayes highlighted the importance of the Wall of Honor event held on August 15th, where notable community members Al Strand, John Hughes, and Carmen Del Sio were inducted for their contributions. Strand, a co-founder of the Wall of Honor, and Hughes, chair of the scholarship foundation, were recognized alongside Del Sio, the foundation's former executive director.
In addition to these events, discussions included the launch of new mental health services in Kirkland, aimed at providing emergency support to families and staff in the district.
