In a separate public comment, Carlene Bonseka highlighted significant problems with the school bus transportation system. She detailed her daughter Rayna's experience, noting that despite the bus being part of her Individualized Education Program (IEP), it had not arrived on multiple occasions since the school year began. Bonseka recounted waiting at the bus stop only to have the bus fail to show up, forcing her to drive her daughter to school to avoid tardiness. She expressed frustration over the lack of reliability, stating that she had to pick up her daughter from school daily due to the bus's failure to arrive on time, which she deemed unacceptable, especially for a child with special needs.

The board acknowledged the parents' comments, emphasizing the importance of addressing these issues to ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
