During a recent government meeting, the contributions of the 100 Black Men of North Metro Atlanta Incorporated were formally recognized for their impactful work in the community. Established in 1963, the 100 Black Men of America has grown to encompass over 110 chapters, serving more than 10,000 members across the United States and beyond.

The North Metro Atlanta chapter, founded in 1994, has been particularly noted for its commitment to mentoring at-risk youth through education and economic empowerment initiatives. Their efforts have not gone unnoticed, as they have received prestigious accolades, including the National Chapter of the Year award in both 2018 and 2020.

Jasper Watkins III, who led the recognition, emphasized the importance of mentorship in shaping young lives, drawing from his own experiences with mentors throughout his upbringing. He praised the organization for instilling values such as respect, justice, and integrity in the youth they serve, highlighting their role in preparing the next generation to positively impact their communities.
