A proposed project involves the construction of a pipeline along the Snake River, estimated to cost nearly $150 million. Currently, the primary water supply for the area is drawn from the Boise River. However, officials also explored the possibility of utilizing water from the Payette River, which would require additional infrastructure to transport the water over the ridge back into the drainage system.
