Additionally, Fire Chief Ken Chapman praised the teamwork displayed by the Romulus Fire Department and local recreation staff during a life-saving incident on July 2, 2024. He detailed how staff at the Romulus Athletic Center responded to a medical emergency involving a female in a wheelchair, performing CPR and utilizing an AED before the fire department arrived. The quick actions of staff members Catherine Henning, Anna Guston, and Megan McGee were specifically recognized, with plaques presented to them for their heroic efforts.
