Jared Halbert, who has taught for nine years, shared his journey from Truman High School to his new role, emphasizing his commitment to education. Shannon Ray, with 34 years of experience, expressed excitement about coaching junior high football and track, while Julia Elrod, a new literacy growth position holder, reflected on her family legacy in education.
Barbie Hamilton, transitioning to fifth grade after 27 years in third grade, and Jordan Bradford, a speech-language pathologist returning to her roots, also shared their stories, underscoring the personal connections many educators have with the community. Susannah McLeod, a new agricultural science teacher, and Keena McCoy, a special education teacher, highlighted their passion for their respective fields and eagerness to contribute to the district.
