During a recent government meeting, representatives from the NextGen Youth Workforce Program shared their experiences and gratitude for the opportunities provided by the city of Baldwin Park. The program, which aims to equip local youth with practical skills and work experience, has made a significant impact on participants' personal and professional development.

Andrew Delgado, a recent graduate, reflected on his time working in the Educational Technology Services (ETS) department at Baldwin Park Unified School District. He expressed appreciation for the hands-on experience he gained over three summers, particularly in repairing technology and understanding its role in education.

Sotiman Hun, another participant, shared his journey in the finance department, where he learned essential skills such as data entry and accounting practices. He emphasized the mentorship he received from department staff, which he found invaluable as he prepares for college.

Eduardo Villalobos, who also graduated from Baldwin Park High School, highlighted his two-year experience in the human resources department. He credited his mentors for teaching him practical applications that will benefit his future studies in business.

George Paulino, who worked in the engineering department, expressed gratitude for the knowledge he gained about traffic control and public works, which he believes will aid him in his upcoming college studies.
