During a recent government meeting, significant achievements in local sports were highlighted, particularly focusing on the Girls Track team. Coach Amy Julian, unable to attend due to the busy season, was represented as the meeting acknowledged the accomplishments of several athletes.
Five girls received LIC conference championship recognition, with notable performances from the 4x100 meter relay team, which included Lizzie Vale, Kenny Travis, Veil Seiler, and Hadley Denton. Additionally, Brielle Seiler excelled in the 100 meter hurdles, while Mackenzie Thomas emerged as a sectional champion in the 800 meters. Both athletes qualified for the upcoming state track meet, showcasing their talent on a larger stage.
Brielle Seiler also made headlines by breaking two school records: the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 17.01 seconds and the 300 meter hurdles at 46.38 seconds. The meeting expressed pride in the achievements of the girls, emphasizing the dedication and hard work of the team.
