Parents expressed frustration over the ongoing delays in addressing these facility issues, noting that discussions have been tabled repeatedly without resolution. They called for fair treatment and support for youth sports, pointing out that while other community projects, such as dog parks, have received funding, the needs of young athletes remain unmet. Danes and other parents stressed the importance of providing safe and adequate spaces for children to practice and play soccer, advocating for a swift decision to restore access to previously used fields.

In addition to the soccer facility concerns, Alicia Hellman raised issues regarding the city's collaboration with Oscaloosa on airport operations, questioning the reliability of their financial commitments. She urged local officials to reconsider their involvement in the project, suggesting that resources would be better allocated to community needs, such as improving soccer facilities.
