A public hearing was held to discuss the Grass Valley Industrial Subdivision, a proposed 19-lot industrial development on a 43-acre parcel. Tim Worley from the planning, development, and sustainability department presented the project, which is being developed by Ethos Civil on behalf of Grass Valley Industrial Park LLC.
The subdivision is planned to be developed in two phases and is situated in an area zoned for light industrial activities, which allows for uses such as warehousing, tool manufacturing, recycling, and fabrication. The site has a historical agricultural background but has transitioned to light industrial use since the construction of the nearby Y interchange in the early 1970s.
Worley noted that the parcel currently has no surface water rights and is surrounded by existing light industrial and commercial developments. The meeting marks a significant step in the planning process for the subdivision, which aims to enhance local industrial capacity and economic development.
