Despite the alarming figures, Greg noted that without this transfer, the community would have been ahead in revenue for the month. For the year, expenses are reported to be $4 million over budget; however, excluding the Mid Ohio transfer, the community is approximately $2 million ahead in revenue.

The tax department's monthly report indicated a modest increase in the general fund, up 3.46%, and a 3.19% rise in the fire fund, suggesting a stable financial outlook in those areas. Upcoming discussions will include reallocating funds for various projects, including stormwater management in the 3rd ward.

Brent provided updates from the Parks and Recreation Department, confirming plans to close the community pool on August 10, with potential extensions. He also mentioned upcoming legislation for new picnic tables and trash cans in local parks.

The fire department's report highlighted a busy month, with various training sessions and community events, including participation in local parades and safety talks.
