In a recent government meeting, Shelby County officials approved a significant contract with A2H Inc. for architectural and engineering design services for the upcoming Shelby County Mental Health Safety and Justice Center. The contract, valued at $1,733,000, will be funded through the Fiscal Year 2024 American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds.
The resolution was sponsored by a coalition of commissioners, including Mick Wright, Mikael Lowery, Brandon Morrison, Shauntae Avant, David C. Bradford Jr., Bridal Sugarman, Amber Mills, Henry E. Brooks, Michael Whaley, Charlie Caswell, and Chairwoman Miska Claybills. The motion to approve the contract was moved by Commissioner Sugarman and seconded by Commissioner Ford.
