During a recent board meeting, officials highlighted the county's commitment to fostering a business-friendly environment aimed at attracting new investments and creating jobs. Samir Delahy, director of Select Fulton, the county's economic development arm, emphasized the collaborative efforts with local cities, chambers of commerce, and state agencies to drive growth and promote trade.
In celebration of these achievements, the board of commissioners proclaimed August 5 through 9, 2024, as \"Top 20 Best County for Economic Development Week\" in Fulton County. The resolution encourages citizens to recognize and celebrate the collective economic success of the community and its partners.
The meeting also included a public comment segment, allowing citizens to voice their opinions either in person or virtually, with priority given to local residents and businesses. The board received eight speaker cards, indicating active community engagement in local governance.
