Humboldt County honors Coast Guard for lifesaving service

Public comments were invited regarding the consent calendar, leading to a notable discussion about the library's budget. A community member raised concerns about the proposed increase in library hours from 37.5 to 40 per week, questioning the financial implications of this nearly 10% increase in payroll during a time of budget constraints.
