The design aims to enhance traffic flow and reduce congestion, with the drive-thru strategically relocated to minimize interference with nearby intersections. The board emphasized the importance of maintaining visibility for both the drive-thru and mobile pickup lanes, which are designed to streamline service and reduce wait times.

Concerns were raised about landscaping, particularly regarding the height of shrubs that could obstruct visibility. The board discussed the need for low-lying plants to ensure safety while still providing some aesthetic appeal. The applicant assured that the landscaping plan would comply with town standards, although a waiver for a 50% reduction in the landscape buffer was requested to align with adjacent properties.

The auto sales site plan, presented by the owner of Aziz Auto Tires and Auto Repair, aims to convert part of the existing auto repair business into a sales operation. The plan includes paving the parking area and delineating spaces for customer and display vehicles. The owner highlighted that the business has been a part of the community for over 80 years and emphasized efforts to improve the site’s appearance, including the installation of a vinyl fence for privacy and noise reduction.

Community members expressed concerns about maintaining the neighborhood's character, particularly regarding the visibility of vehicles for sale. The board agreed to consider additional landscaping to enhance the site’s visual appeal while ensuring that it does not obstruct sight lines for safety.

Both proposals received conditional approvals, with stipulations for further discussions on landscaping and traffic management to address community concerns. The board's decisions reflect a balance between facilitating business development and addressing the needs and concerns of local residents.
