In response, the city has enacted the Ira Sharp Firearm Dealer Accountability Act, which will reform how the city engages with gun dealers, ensuring they comply with laws to prevent crime guns from entering the streets.
The meeting also included the confirmation of Deputy Chief Robert Logan as the new Fire Chief for the City of San Diego, following the retirement of Chief Colin Stoll.
