Shaw is also a registered nurse, HAZMAT technician, and a board-certified community paramedic, showcasing a diverse skill set that enhances his leadership in the fire department.
Shaw expressed his enthusiasm for his new role, stating that he has never been busier but finds the work rewarding. He emphasized his commitment to building a world-class fire department by integrating modern practices and addressing contemporary challenges, such as emergency response for electric vehicles and advanced medical procedures.
