In a recent government meeting, officials discussed recommendations from 150 homeless individuals residing at the Fullerton Navigation Center, along with another 150 living on the streets and in local parks. A key proposal highlighted was the introduction of a cash-up card, a free Visa debit card designed to facilitate community funding for essential needs.

This card would enable users to cover various expenses, including rent, utility bills, and temporary accommodations such as hotel and motel stays. Additionally, it would support payments for alternative housing options like Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs), recreational vehicles (RVs), tiny homes, church accommodations, and designated safe RV parking areas.

The initiative aims to provide greater financial autonomy to the homeless population, addressing immediate housing and living costs while promoting stability within the community.
