The Rockwall High School Lady Jackets softball team concluded an impressive season, achieving a remarkable 21-game winning streak before narrowly losing the regional championship series to the state runner-up. Their final record stood at 31 wins, 9 losses, and 1 tie. Meanwhile, the Rockwall High School baseball team also showcased a strong performance, finishing with an overall record of 27 wins, 12 losses, and 2 ties, and securing second place in their district after a challenging start to the season.
Rockwall Heath High School's baseball team mirrored this success, reaching the fourth round of the regional semifinals and finishing in the top 16 in the state. They boasted an undefeated district record of 12-0 and an overall record of 34 wins and 9 losses. Both teams celebrated multiple accolades, including several players advancing to collegiate baseball and recognition for their academic achievements.
In addition to athletic accomplishments, Rockwall ISD is currently tied for eighth place in the Long Star Cup competition, reflecting strong performances across athletics, fine arts, and academics. The final ratings for this competition will be announced in July.
The district also provided updates on upcoming closures for the Fourth of July holiday and ongoing developments regarding the construction of new educational facilities, including a middle school and expansions at Rockwall High School and Rockwall Heath High School.
