In a recent school board meeting, outgoing principal Dr. Wright Davis reflected on his three-year tenure at Nansemond Parkway Elementary School, expressing gratitude for the support he received from the community, staff, and school board members. Dr. Davis, who is transitioning to Colonel Fred Cherry Middle School, emphasized the importance of collaboration and community in achieving success at Nansemond Parkway, noting the strong bond he formed with students and families.
The meeting also marked the introduction of Ms. Letitia Rouse as the new principal of Nansemond Parkway Elementary. Ms. Rouse, who holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Norfolk State University and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Old Dominion University, previously served as an assistant principal at Hill Point Elementary School and Booker T. Washington Elementary School.
In her address to the board, Ms. Rouse expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to lead Nansemond Parkway and highlighted her commitment to fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment for students. She acknowledged the support of her family, including her father, mother, uncle, and husband, who were present at the meeting.
