During a recent government meeting, officials recognized the bravery and dedication of emergency personnel who responded to a complex motor vehicle accident on Highway 36 on April 27, 2024. The event highlighted the exceptional efforts of various local agencies, including Temple Fire Rescue, Temple EMS, Georgetown Fire Department, Killeen Fire Department, and Temple Police Department, among others.
Chief David Cobb, who has served in the department for over 25 years, led the recognition ceremony, emphasizing the significant risks taken by responders during the four-hour rescue operation. He commended the teamwork displayed by the emergency services, which included support from PHI Air Ambulance and local towing and environmental services.
