During a recent government meeting, Andy Brandon, one of the directors of special services for the South Plainfield School District, delivered a heartfelt tribute to Sue Alexander, who is retiring after five years of dedicated service. Brandon highlighted Alexander's commitment to her family and her seamless ability to manage office tasks and projects, often stepping in to assist with urgent needs without hesitation. He expressed the challenge of finding a replacement for her role and emphasized the positive impact she has had on the team.
Brandon also shared personal anecdotes, noting that he often sees Alexander during her walks in town and wishes her well in her retirement, which he hopes will include time spent with her grandchildren and pursuing her interests. He extended an open invitation for her to return to the office if she wishes to assist with Medicaid billing.
Following Brandon's remarks, Mary Melissa, the assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction, recognized Anew Garrison for her retirement after a remarkable 22-year tenure with the district. The meeting underscored the contributions of both individuals to the South Plainfield School District and the community, marking a significant transition as they move into retirement.
