The Texas Career and Technical Association and the Texas Dental Association were highlighted as potential clients that could contribute to the local economy.

In addition to tourism discussions, the council addressed an ordinance authorizing the issuance of tax notes for approximately $2.35 million to purchase new vehicles and equipment for the city’s fire department. This initiative aims to enhance public safety services and was supported by a competitive bidding process that attracted five bidders.
