During a recent council meeting, members unanimously approved a license agreement for outdoor cafe improvements on city-owned property in Auburn. The agreement pertains to locations behind Little Italy at 129 East Magnolia and the Irritable Bowl at 127 East Magnolia.

The council highlighted the necessity of a public hearing for the project, which aims to enhance the downtown area. Following the hearing, which saw no public comments, council members expressed enthusiasm for the initiative, noting the positive impact of similar outdoor cafes in the past.

The agreement allows for a 10-year lease, enabling the businesses to construct a canopy structure over the designated area.
