The Cedarbrook Media will host its annual Pride in the Sky Independence Day celebration on Monday, July 1st, at Frontier Park, starting at 5 p.m. The event promises a festive atmosphere with live music, children's activities, food, games, and a fireworks display synchronized to music.
In addition, registration is now open for the Citizens Fire Academy, which will run for ten weeks every Thursday evening from 6:30 to 9 p.m., beginning August 1st. Residents interested in participating can register at prospertx.gov/citizensfireacademy, with a registration deadline of July 11th and limited spaces available.
Town Hall offices will be closed on Thursday, July 4th, in observance of Independence Day; however, there will be no delays in trash service, which will continue as scheduled.
During the meeting, the council recognized the town's communication staff for their recent achievements at the Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers (TAMEO) conference in San Antonio. Communications Manager Todd Rice, along with Senior Communication Specialist Wilson Haynes and Communication Specialist Mel Nasik, highlighted the importance of the conference, which focuses on promoting effective communication within local government. The TAMEO serves as a professional network for municipal communications, offering training and development opportunities for its members.
