The upcoming Independence Day celebration is set to take place on June 29, 2024, at the local high school, with preparations well underway just eight days prior to the event. The festivities will kick off at 3 PM, featuring a variety of activities, food vendors, and a concert, culminating in a fireworks display scheduled for 9:30 PM.

Event organizers have confirmed that the school district has been instrumental in facilitating the preparations. A shuttle service will be available, transporting attendees from nearby elementary and intermediate schools to the high school venue, with buses running approximately every 30 minutes. Public parking will be provided on-site, accommodating around 400 vehicles, alongside designated areas for vendors, volunteers, and VIPs.

This year’s celebration will feature nine food vendors and a familiar ride company, ensuring a range of entertainment options for attendees. The concert will begin with a local DJ duo, Nick and Tammy, performing from 3 PM until 6 PM, followed by a four-piece rock band, Sass Monkey, taking the stage at 6:30 PM.

To ensure safety and smooth traffic flow, police officers will be stationed at key intersections, managing the influx of attendees and directing traffic as necessary. The area south of the access road will be closed off to the public to facilitate the event, with specific arrangements made for viewing the fireworks display.

As the community gears up for this annual celebration, organizers are optimistic about a successful event that promises to bring together residents for a day of fun and festivities.
