Following this introduction, Council Member McOsker honored the Gardena Girls High School Basketball Team for their remarkable achievement in winning the CIF LA City Section Division 4 championship. The team, known as the Gardena Panthers, showcased exceptional skill and teamwork, defeating their opponents with a score of 54 to 12 in the championship game. McOsker praised the players for their hard work, dedication, and strategic execution, attributing their success to the guidance of their coach, Tracy McNeal.
