Almeida requested an extension of 30 days to rectify the situation, citing ongoing work with a contractor.

Another case discussed involved Store Capital Acquisitions, which faced similar issues for multiple properties on Southeast Morningside Boulevard. The company was found to have conducted commercial alterations, including reroofing, without the required permits. The city sought a daily fine of $100 for each day of non-compliance, also not exceeding $10,000. The representatives from Store Capital requested an additional 30 days to resolve the permit issues, which was granted by the magistrate.

Additionally, Grace Maranatha Tabernacle Inc. was cited for storing construction materials without proper permits at their property on Northeast Hammock Creek Trail. The pastor of the church explained that delays were due to ongoing issues with the homeowners' association, which has been obstructing their permit approval process. The magistrate allowed a 60-day extension to facilitate compliance.
