In a detailed police activity report for May, it was revealed that the police department responded to 783 calls for service, resulting in 656 contacts. The report noted 48 criminal offenses leading to 108 arrests, alongside 62 traffic citations and 90 warnings. Notably, 31 of the traffic contacts were for speeding, and there were 23 reported accidents, four of which involved injuries.
The police department also announced the deployment of a motorcycle unit, which has received positive feedback from the community. Additionally, Officer James Savage, who has over two years of experience, has joined the force and is currently in training.
