In a recent government meeting, officials discussed an upcoming housing project at 560 Brunson Street, located in district 5, ward 2. The initiative aims to provide affordable housing, with the units being sold to buyers at or below 80 percent of the Area Median Income (AMI).
The project, which was acquired through the neighborhood stabilization program, will utilize over 11,000 square feet of buildable space to construct four units. The design features two buildings, each containing two units, referred to as twin homes. Each unit is planned to include three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms, covering approximately 1,576 square feet.
Amani, the developer behind the project, has committed to sustainability by ensuring the homes are energy efficient. They plan to use sustainable materials and aim to meet or exceed the Department of Energy's Zero Energy Ready Homes guidelines, highlighting a significant focus on environmentally friendly construction practices.
