Cavan raised concerns regarding the management of water resources, particularly the three water standpipes in Kekaha, which are remnants from the former Kekaha Sugar plantation. He emphasized the importance of maintaining these standpipes for agricultural irrigation and fire protection, especially as the island faces challenges with potable water supply. Cavan suggested that the Department of Agriculture (DOA) consider transferring the reservoirs to the Agricultural Development Corporation (ADC) to ensure their continued use and maintenance.
