Blues Festival Promises Star-Studded Lineup and VIP Experience

The upcoming Forest Park Blues Festival is set to feature an exciting lineup of artists, including traditional Mississippi Delta Blues bands, Many Waters and Frankie's Blues, as well as the Duke's Blues Band. Notable performers also include Nellie Tiger Travis, known for her hit \"Hey, Mister Sexyman,\" and Theodis Ealy, who has a strong following in the region. DJ Stoney will provide music between performances.

The festival is scheduled to run until 11 PM, with each act performing for approximately 45 minutes. A VIP section will be available around the fountain, offering appetizers and a dedicated bar for the first hour and a half, transitioning to a cash bar thereafter. General seating will be available for attendees who bring their own chairs.

Organizers are finalizing logistical details, including a catwalk stage design to enhance the viewing experience. The budget for the event is capped at $50,000, with significant costs allocated for stage rental, porta potty rental, food and beverages for the VIP area, and artist fees, which total around $21,000.

The meeting concluded with a request for approval to move forward with the event and finalize contracts with the artists. Further discussions will involve legal counsel to ensure all arrangements are in place for a successful festival.
