During a recent government meeting, Miss Flores presented the final spring 2024 state testing results, highlighting significant achievements by the district. The Texas Education Agency (TEA) released the results earlier this month, although the anticipated A-F ratings for campuses remain pending due to a lawsuit.

Flores shared detailed performance metrics across various subjects, including reading, math, science, and social studies. The data indicated that the district outperformed both regional and state averages in all content areas, showcasing a strong commitment to student success.

In addition to the overall results, Flores reported on high school retesting for End-of-Course (EOC) graduation requirements. Notably, 59% of students passed the English I retest, while 58% succeeded in English II. Algebra I saw a remarkable success rate, with all but one student passing. However, one student in biology did not pass and will have another opportunity in December. Encouragingly, all five students retesting in U.S. History passed.

Another highlight from the meeting was the district's College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) percentage, which reached an impressive 90%. This marks a 20% increase over the past three years, significantly surpassing the regional average of 67% and the state average of 76%.

Overall, the meeting underscored the district's commitment to improving educational outcomes and supporting student achievement, despite the ongoing challenges posed by the pending ratings.
