Indian Head Park plans holiday frosty fest with Santa and live reindeer on December 21

The Village of Indian Head Park Board convened on December 12, 2024, to discuss several key issues impacting the community, including property tax levies, upcoming events, and ongoing committee initiatives.

One of the primary topics was the property tax levy. The board is awaiting a draft report from the County Clerk's Office, expected in early 2025. This report will detail the approved levy amount, which is crucial for the village's financial planning. The board members unanimously approved the motion related to the levy, ensuring that the village can proceed with its tax collection process.

In addition to financial matters, the meeting highlighted community engagement efforts. Trustee Zvetka announced a landscape meeting scheduled for the following Wednesday at 6:30 PM at the village hall. Trustee Eck updated the board on the finance committee's progress in implementing best practices and preparing for the upcoming budget, which aligns with the village's fiscal year ending on April 30.

Lastly, Trustee Saldanha invited residents to the holiday Frosty Fest on December 21, featuring Santa's visit via fire truck, crafts, and festive treats. This event promises to be a delightful occasion for families in Indian Head Park.
