Highland Village restaurants thrive post-COVID with new menus and community support

The Highland Village Business Association hosted a vibrant gathering on December 16, 2024, at the Brass Tap, showcasing local dining establishments and their offerings. The meeting commenced with a warm welcome from J Mark, who introduced the Brass Tap, celebrating its two-year anniversary. Dale, the owner, shared insights into the restaurant's diverse menu, which now includes new brunch items and a full suite of entertainment options, such as trivia and music bingo nights. He emphasized the restaurant's commitment to providing a welcoming atmosphere with a wide selection of food and drinks, including 60 beers on tap.

Following the Brass Tap, the spotlight shifted to Hillside Fine Grill, where owner Rick Valley discussed the restaurant's journey since opening two and a half years ago. He expressed gratitude for the community's support during the pandemic and highlighted popular menu items, including their renowned ribs and new offerings like a patty melt and Italian meatball appetizer. Rick noted the restaurant's focus on creating a casual yet inviting dining experience for all patrons.

The event continued with a visit to Deli 6, where AJ, one of the owners, introduced new Indian dishes aimed at expanding the local palate beyond the well-known chicken tikka masala. He emphasized the restaurant's commitment to fresh, made-to-order meals and its role as a community partner through charitable contributions.

Lastly, the gathering featured Berries and Batter, a new breakfast spot that has quickly gained popularity for its unique pancake offerings and vibrant decor. Manager Andrea highlighted the restaurant's mission to provide a fresh and energetic start to the day, with a menu that caters to both breakfast and lunch enthusiasts.
