As the lights dimmed and the excitement buzzed through the air, the 13th annual Holidays on Ice show in Allen, Texas, kicked off with a vibrant celebration of talent and holiday spirit. The event, presented by the Credit Union of Texas, showcased a dazzling array of performances from skaters of all ages, each bringing their unique flair to the ice.

The evening began with the lively "Christmas Can Can," featuring the alpha, beta, and gamma skaters, who set the tone for a night filled with joy and cheer. The audience erupted in applause as Haley Dow, Nathan Ginn, and Katya McGillberry took center stage, captivating everyone with their energetic routine.

Following this festive opener, the show continued with a series of delightful performances. The "Happiest Christmas Tree" was brought to life by the intro and pre-alpha skaters, while the spirited "Dominic the Donkey" showcased the skills of the top skater. The classic "Let It Snow" was performed by the Delta and pre-freestyle skaters, adding a touch of winter magic to the evening.

As the program unfolded, the audience was treated to the graceful "Waltz of the Wallflower" by the Freestyle Workshop Skaters and the heartfelt "Home For the Holidays" by the adult skaters. The excitement peaked with the "Battle of the Toy Soldiers and Mice," performed by the talented team Allen Aspire, followed by the enchanting "Snow Fairies" from the Nutcracker.

The show also featured a charming performance by the father-daughter group, and the Allen Excel Skaters dazzled the crowd with "You Make Me Feel at Christmas." The North Texas synchronized skating teams brought a festive spirit with their rendition of "Postcard in Winter" and the beloved "All I Want for Christmas is You."

As the evening drew to a close, the audience welcomed the class of 2025 senior soloist, Annalise Egber, and cheered for the 2024 Excel national final qualifier. The night was capped off with a whimsical appearance by the Grinch, reminding everyone of the playful side of the holiday season.
